What happens
Forty-five minutes, start to baseline
You arrive
A Systematic coach walks you through what each test involves. You read and accept a short waiver, and nothing is timed until you are ready.
Eight measurements, guided
From standing on one leg with your eyes closed and getting down to the floor and back up, to a wall sit and a dead hang. Each test follows the same exact protocol every time, so your results mean the same thing next time.
Your results, explained
You see your results the same day: each measurement, what it reflects, and where you stand. You also get a starting Development Pathway for the capacity to work on first.
The eight measurements
What you will actually do
Each measurement is backed by research. Follow any of them to see what the studies found, and what they do not show.
- The Toe Touch Screen
Posterior chain tension & movement clearance
- Single-Leg Balance
Body awareness & pelvic stability
- The Sitting-Rising Test
Joint workspace & mobility
- Standing Broad Jump
Speed of force & landing control
- Tempo Push-Ups
Core pressurisation & movement efficiency
- Farmer's Carry
Posture control & walking under load
- The Wall Sit
Muscle endurance & metabolic tolerance
- The Dead Hang
Tension tolerance & grip baseline
A baseline you can measure again
The first measurement is the start
Because every test follows a fixed protocol, your results are a baseline you can measure again. Come back in a few months, repeat the same eight, and see what has changed. That is how your results become a record of your own development, not a one-off score.
Before you come
What to know
- Wear clothes you can move in. Most of the assessment is done barefoot.
- Arrive a few minutes early. There is free street parking near the studio, and directions are in your confirmation email.
- If you have an injury or a medical condition, or have been advised to limit physical activity, check with your doctor first. Any test can be stopped at any time.

Questions
Before you book
- Is it really complimentary?
- Yes. There is no cost and no obligation. The assessment is designed to be useful on its own.
- Who runs it?
- A Systematic coach guides each test and records your results under the same protocol every time.
- What if I cannot do one of the tests?
- That is fine. Any test can be stopped or skipped, and a skipped test is recorded as skipped rather than as a result.
- Can I bring someone with me?
- Yes, you are welcome to bring a partner or a friend. If they would like their own assessment, please book them a separate time.
- Can I take the assessment at home instead?
- Yes. The self-guided version takes about the same time. The in-person assessment is guided and recorded by a coach, so the measurement is verified.
- What happens to my results?
- They are yours, in your own account. If you choose to, your de-identified results can help refine the standards everyone is compared with. That is always your choice.
The research
Why these eight
Each measurement is connected to research on physical capability and healthy aging. The research library explains what each study found, what it does not show, and how its evidence supports a claim, so you can judge it for yourself.
